To the editor:
"U.S. troops enter Fallujah," (Journal-World, Nov. 9). Imagine. Your child torn apart by shrapnel (collateral damage) by those ostensibly bringing you freedom, order and prosperity. Maybe even democracy. Along with phrases like "surgical strike" such words are meaningless next to your dead child. Gratitude? Never. Only feelings of undying hatred and thirst for revenge. As American forces continue to cleanse (what a nice word!) the city of Fallujah of insurgents, they (and we) are inadvertently creating scores of eternal enemies.
