Bush to blame
To the editor:
Once again this administration is playing “shift the target.” When George W. Bush is criticized for his mysterious service record, critics are accused of “maligning the National Guard.” Criticize the leaders of the Bush war machine, and you are “attacking the troops.” Nancy Pelosi calls Bush incompetent, and Scott McClellan says the Democrats’ new motto is “Blame America First.” This tactic of sidestepping the blame is getting old, and I hope the American public sees through this charade. The blame falls on you, Mr. Bush, and your top advisers. No one is blaming the Guard, the troops or America. It’s all you.
