Meteorologist Matt Jacobs’ advice is to get out early this weekend, because storms could dampen some holiday weekend plans.

Saturday will start out sunny and warm, but clouds and wind will move in during the late afternoon. There is a chance for severe weather late Saturday and into Sunday morning.

The high temperature Saturday will reach 88 degrees, Saturday night’s low will be 70 , and Sunday’s high temperature will be 78.

By Sunday afternoon, the storms will move off to the east, leaving behind cooler temperatures. Monday will be sunny with a high near 74 degrees.
