Injury accidents

  • An Overland Park man was flown by air ambulance to a Kansas City-area hospital after a one-car wreck about 10:05 p.m. Monday south of Eudora. Lewis Waterhouse, 19, was driving west on North 900 Road, just west of Douglas County Road 1061, when he lost control of his car, ran off the road and struck a pole. Waterhouse’s condition was unavailable Tuesday. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the cause.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 22-year-old Kansas University student reported compact discs valued at $2,000 taken from a vehicle between 6 p.m. April 26 and 2 p.m. April 27 in the 2100 block of Kasold Drive.
  • Someone took more than $2,000 in audio equipment from a cabin in the 100 section of East 1250 Road in Baldwin, according to a report. Missing items include compact disc players, an amplifier and speaker equipment, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s report. The incident happened between 6 p.m. April 24 and 12:30 p.m. April 26.

Condition Reports

  • Andy Marso, a Kansas University senior from St. Cloud, Minn., remained in critical condition Tuesday at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan. Last week he was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
  • Debra Park, Lawrence, remained in critical condition Tuesday at University of Kansas Hospital. She was one of three people injured in a head-on collision Monday morning on Kansas Highway 32 east of Linwood. There have been no condition reports available on the other victims.
