Highlights from the Kansas Legislature
Highlights of Wednesday’s activities at the Kansas Legislature:
- The House rejected a bill pledging more money for education and providing a huge tax break for married couples, but elements of a school finance plan began to emerge.
- Libraries would have to shield minors from Internet pornography and could not let them borrow R-rated videos under a bill advanced in the House.
Also:
- A House commtitee endorsed a bill allowing prosecutions for attacking, injuring or killing a fetus.
