Dwindling band
To the editor:
How ironic that the article about the successful raising of $220,704 to purchase, “enough uniforms for 300 band members, allowing for significant growth in the program” at Kansas University ran the same day an article on the proposed budget cuts for USD 497.
Top of the proposed budget cuts: Sixth-grade band and orchestra, saving the district $226,210.
Wonder who KU is expecting to wear these uniforms?
