Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • Four Kansas University students reported that someone broke into their home Sunday and took property valued at $3,115. Items taken from the home in the 2700 block of Crestline Drive include 95 DVDs and an assortment of Sony PlayStation games.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

  • Smoke detector malfunction, 1:47 p.m. Thursday, 643 Mass.
  • Carbon monoxide incident, 11:11 a.m. Thursday, 2528 Cedarwood Ave.
  • Fire call, canceled, 10:22 a.m. Thursday, 2110 Harper St.

  • Collie/Lab mix, black, female, 5-6 years.
