Burglaries and thefts reported
- Two Oklahoma women told police someone took $1,800 in cash and other items from their vehicle parked in the 5100 block of Speicher Road. It happened between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tuesday.
- Someone broke into a residence in the 1500 block of Legend Trail and took more than $10,000 in property, including a desktop computer and laptop computer, a surround-sound stereo, and several pairs of shoes. The burglary happened between 6 p.m. July 16 and 4 p.m. Sunday, according to a report. The items belonged to a 22-year-old man.
- A Lawrence woman is missing a $1,500 red “Clipper” gas-powered concrete saw. It disappeared from her home in the 1600 block of Rose Lane between 1 p.m. July 16 and 7 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.
- A Peugeot moped valued at $2,770 disappeared between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Monday from the west alleyway in the 1000 block of Massachusetts Street. The vehicle belonged to a 21-year-old Lawrence man.
