Help in Missouri
To the editor:
After reading the letter from Matt Withers on July 15, I thought of an incident that happened to me about eight or 10 years ago. I was in Harrisonville, Mo. My old pickup died on me. I went to a garage and they said they would have to get the parts from Kansas City. I would have to stick around until they got the parts and rent a room for a couple nights.
I was thinking of an alternative. I talked to a man from a towing service. This man figured up the distance. He said he would haul my Mazda truck to Lawrence for $108. I told him I was ready to go. This man was a nice fellow, and I kicked myself for not giving him a decent tip but I was tired and not thinking clear. Maybe we are living in the wrong state or town.

Lawrence
