Ego issue
To the editor:
Little people with large egos write books about themselves. Great people trust their posterity to others.
Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln and FDR never wrote books about themselves.
Little people with large egos who have accomplished little and left no lasting legacy feel compelled to toot their own horns.
Truly great people are content to let their accomplishments speak for them in the pages of history.
Now great leader and dear leader have both written their self-adulating books and will become multimillionaires as their groupies and the curious flock to buy them.
But if history is written and recorded truly and objectively they will go down as the worse people who ever lived in the White House.
Jim Morris,
Lawrence
