To the editor:

The Christian community has given much attention to the issue of homosexuality and gay unions from legal and moral points of view. It is the topic of the news media, legal proceedings and expounded from the pulpit. But why has there been little focus on the immoral atrocities committed by our troops in Iraq? Why has there not been an outcry from Christian leaders, an indignant protest of the sadistic, perverted behavior of Americans who were sent to Iraq to save those people from these very behaviors?

Why has the Christian right not chastised our leaders who are responsible for sending such emissaries of “goodwill” and “world peace”? Why the deafening silence from those who identify themselves as the moral majority? Why is it that I can’t hear you?
