Poor example

To the editor:

If all the information is true on the Scouts’ pinewood derby that was publicized in the paper the week of Jan. 25, I am one that is furious. Why should there be any question that the father should foot any and all expenses that were incurred? Any person who is so bold to help his 7-year-old cheat needs to pay. I feel so sorry for the child and the humiliation that a grown man, who knows better, put that child through. Why should this all go to the expense of the Scout board to make a decision? What an example he has set before all children.
