Van rates
To the editor:
I read with interest the editorial in the Sunday, Jan. 25, Journal-World which gives figures indicating that the entire cost of running the state vanpool program was apparently not factored into the rider fees. An obvious question, that apparently was not asked, was why did the state (which figures the rate — not the riders themselves) not calculate all the costs into the fees as they are required by statute to do? I would be most interested in the answer.
