Brandon McAnderson

In high school: McAnderson became one of the top running backs in Lawrence High’s storied football history. For his career, the 6-foot, 220-pound bruiser rushed for 3,052 yards on 488 carries. His senior year alone, McAnderson rushed for 1,789 yards and 25 touchdowns, averaging 163 yards per game. In basketball, he led Chris Davis’ squad in scoring his senior year, putting in nearly 10 points per game.

Where is he now?: Not far. McAnderson signed with Kansas University after his stellar senior season in football, adding to Mark Mangino’s already strong class. McAnderson took a redshirt this season, but made the trip to the Tangerine Bowl in December and hopes to make an impact either at running back or linebacker in the future.
