O’Neill coverage

To the editor:

I was wondering why the Journal-World chose not to cover the story of Paul O’Neill’s recent revelations on “60 Minutes,” and instead ran a piece questioning “60 Minutes'” journalistic integrity. It would seem to reveal, at best, a grievous oversight and, at worst, a significant agenda. I can see how this could be rationalized by not wanting to reprint other source’s stories, but it would seem to me that the content of the information itself is worth printing, regardless of who got to it first.
