Governor’s campaign funds hit $440,000 mark

? Gov. Kathleen Sebelius didn’t let her election slow down her fund-raising efforts.

Sebelius raised $442,129 in contributions in 2003 after having won the gubernatorial election in November 2002.

Most of her contributions came in the form of checks of $1,000 or more from a wide variety of sources.

And in 2003, Sebelius spent $336,797 with a large portion of that money going to pay fees to political consultants.

The finance details are in reports just filed with the Secretary of State’s Office.
