Law enforcement report

Gero, the Douglas County sheriff’s drug-sniffing German Shepherd, sniffed out suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia early Thursday on Kansas Highway 10, according to a report.

The dog was called to a traffic stop about 1:25 a.m. at mile marker 8 of K-10 after a driver was stopped for speeding, according to the report. The stop led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Overland Park man on suspicion of marijuana and drug-paraphernalia possession.
