Senior Joe Crane led the Lions with 14 points, including four three-pointers. ... Crane is the team's leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game. ... Shawnee Mission West is 10-9 overall, 6-4 in league play. ... The Vikings have won four in a row, including a 62-54 victory Tuesday over SM North.

Notes: Free State has won four in a row heading into its regular-season finale with Olathe North. ... If the Firebirds (13-6 overall, 8-2 league) win tonight, they'll finish second in the Sunflower League. ... Olathe North (5-14, 2-8) has lost seven in a row, including a 56-51 loss to Lawrence High Tuesday. ... With the second-best record among the eight team in Free State's sub-state, the Firebirds will play a home game in the first round of sub-state Thursday.

If Lawrence beats SM West tonight and Olathe South beats Olathe East, LHS, O-South and O-East would tie for first with 9-2 league marks. ... SM West (11-8, 5-5) has lost three of its last five, including a 41-39 setback to SM North Tuesday.
