Clinton Lake Museum topic of public meeting
A public meeting will be held today to discuss plans for raising funds to improve the Clinton Lake Museum.

Wichita must manage annual aviation festival
City officials said they would work with several local groups to manage a scaled-down version of the Wichita Aviation Festival after a second company withdrew its proposal to manage the festival.
“The city is going to do basically what it did last year,” said Mayor Carlos Mayans. “It was a city festival.”
The event, scheduled for September, has been organized for the past two years by the city.
Officials estimate the festival will cost $400,000, with the city contributing $125,000.
John D’Angelo, who directed the festival during its first two years, said the city prefers another group spearhead and manage the event in 2005.
