Burglaries and thefts reported
- Someone smashed windows on four cars and took a purse from each between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 1:39 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East 23rd Street, police reported Tuesday.
- A Kansas University student reported his 2000 Toyota Camry taken at 11:30 p.m. Friday from the 500 block of West 14th Street, police said Tuesday. The victim valued the car at $9,900.
- A 23-year-old man reported that someone broke a door to his home in the 700 block of New York Street and took $800 in cash, two gold necklaces and three gold rings. It happened between 10 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a report released Tuesday.
