To the editor:

Jan. 6, I had a complete hip/joint replacement. Everything related to this procedure was performed by local services. I have enjoyed the same internal diagnostician for over 25 years and the same bone and joint specialist for over 10 years. I say “thank you” to them, and the response, “it’s my job.”

I checked into LMH and began the most fantastic week of personal service I have ever received. Knowing full well I wasn’t the only patient around, sometimes I felt I was. Post-surgical therapy, in and out of the hospital, was excellent. This is not a commercial but rather a tribute to some really great medical and hospital staff in Lawrence. It is truly a comforting feeling when you hear someone say, “it’s my job,” and they really mean it.
