To the editor:

Last June 16, you published a letter that I submitted on the hiring of former University of Connecticut athletic director Lew Perkins. I warned the Kansas University fans of impending changes that they would witness under Lew’s guidance. They would see ticket prices skyrocket as well as the way tickets would be purchased in the future. (Can you say priority points?)

I recently went back to your Web site and have read with interest the changes Lew has planned at ol’ KU, and I must admit I chuckled to myself after having watched it first hand at UConn.

So if you love your Jayhawks like we love our Huskies, getting a second or third job will be required to hold onto your tickets. The only one not needing another job will be Lew. But at $400K, he can afford anything he wants.
