Not in school

To the editor:

I have two questions for those who propose that intelligent design/creationism be taught in public schools.

1. If you want your children to learn creationism, why not take them to church?

2. Do you really want public school science teachers teaching your children the fundamental principles of Christianity?

You have the freedom to sit down every night with your child and study the Bible. You also possess the freedom to choose whichever of the hundreds of churches that exist in Kansas and take your children every Sunday. As for me, a taxpaying citizen and a firm believer in the Constitution, I say keep religion where it belongs: in the home and in the church.
