Worth the trip
To the editor:
I just wanted to compliment Lawrence on its public no-smoking policy. Recently, my husband and I and another couple drove over from Topeka and watched the Chiefs game at Tanner’s Bar & Grill. We stayed much longer than usual because we weren’t driven away by the overpowering smoke. It would be nice if Topeka showed the fortitude to pass such a policy, but until then, we’ll be making more trips east to enjoy the cleaner air in the restaurants in Lawrence.
