Light flurries possible tonight

Don’t be surprised if you see a touch of feathery winter white stuff tonight.

“We do have that chance of a flake of snow tonight,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. But for the most part, the clouds that roll through today and tonight will leave the area dry.

This morning’s temperature was 29 at 8:30 a.m., with a southerly 8 mph wind making the windchill 21.

“It’s still cold this morning, but not quite as bad as we saw yesterday,” Schack said. Tuesday’s wind chill made it feel like 2 degrees in the early morning hours.

The high today will reach 47, with southwest winds 10 to 20 mph, she said. More clouds roll in tonight, which could bring in a few flurries blowing around, she said.

“A few flakes of snow are possible,” Schack said. “It shouldn’t be a big deal in the northeastern part of the state.”

Tonight’s overnight low will drop to 30 by Thursday morning. The clouds will hang around on Thursday, with the high reaching 41.

Friday’s morning low will be 22, with Friday’s high reaching 43.
