Sharing spirit

To the editor:

We would like to thank all of the employees of Scotch Industries, Lawrence and Douglas County volunteers, Kansas University student volunteers and the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary for again making this year’s Share the Warmth project a complete success.

Scotch Industries collected the coats, vests, blankets, etc. Scotch employees volunteered to clean them and then Scotch Industries delivered them to a location, provided by Scotch Industries, where the items were distributed to individuals. Scotch also provided all the advertisements for Share the Warmth. The volunteers then sorted the items by children, women, men, style, etc. and assisted in the distribution of items to individuals. All of this was provided, at no cost, to the Salvation Army or the individuals receiving the items.

Also, we would like to thank all the people donating items for the Share the Warmth project.
