Roll-over accident injures four

Officers investigate an accident from December 2004 where four people, including a toddler, were injured when their car rolled over on a county road just east of Lawrence, according to Douglas County Sheriff's officers. Two of the people were taken by air ambulance to KU Med Center in Kansas City, Kan., and two others, including a toddler, were taken by ground ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Four people, including a toddler, suffered injuries this afternoon when their car overturned on a county road just east of Lawrence, according to authorities.

Two of the people, including the driver, were taken by Lifestar helicopter ambulances to the KU Med Center in Kansas City, Kan., according to Lt. Stephen R. Brown of the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

Two other passengers, including one who was 2 to 3 years old, were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by Lawrence-Douglas County Fire and Medical, Brown said.

The accident occurred about 2:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of N1500 Road, Brown said.

The names of those involved in the accident has not yet been released. Officers were continuing to investigate the accident this afternoon, Brown said.
