Four FSHS runners earn all-state honor

Free State High cross country runners Alysha Valencia, Alex Rock, Danny Schneider and Aaron Trent were named to the Class 6A Cross Country Academic All-State team.

The squad is chosen by the Kansas Cross Country and Track Coaches Assn.

To be selected for the team, an athlete must be a junior or senior, place in the top 15 at regionals and have a grade-point average of 3.75 or better at the end of the 2003-04 school year.

Only 6A athletes are eligible.

This is the first year of the award.
