Porous borders

To the editor:

My hat goes off to the two House members who had the courage to stand up to the “elite Senate members” regarding the 9-11 reform proposal on intelligence. Apparently, the 9-11 proposal hardly gave “lip service” to border security measures, as well as other issues.

Several days after criticizing Mr. Hunter and Mr. Sensenberger for their roles in obstructing the 9-11 reform proposal the Bush administration sharply admonished Syria for having “porous borders.”

Talk about “calling the kettle black!”
