The following construction projects and events may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

County Road 1023 from North 1900 Road to U.S. Highway 40, closed for bridge replacement.

Kansas Highway 32 at Stranger Creek, bridge reduced to one lane for widening.

I-70 from the Turner Diagonal to U.S. Interstate 635, lane restrictions each direction for bridge rehabilitation.

The following projects may affect city traffic this week:

U.S. Highway 40 (Sixth Street) from Kansas Highway 10 to Folks Road, traffic carried through construction as U.S. 40 is widened to four lanes.

2. Trail Road east of Folks Road, closed to through traffic for sewer line installation.

3. Kansas University men’s basketball vs. Texas Christian, 8 p.m. Thursday; vs. Louisiana-Lafayette, 7 p.m. Saturday, Allen Fieldhouse, KU campus.

4. 14th Street at Jayhawk Boulevard, closed for steam tunnel installation.

5. 13th and Delaware streets, closed for stormwater improvements. Detours posted.
