Williams suing KU Alumni Association
The former president and CEO of the Kansas University Alumni Association is suing the association for more than $2.2 million.
Fred Williams, who had been in the position 21 years, claims he has a right to the money through salary and benefits under his contract, which ran through 2008.
The suit was filed Thursday afternoon in Douglas County District Court.
Williams was fired by the association’s board of directors in May. He claims the board never gave him a specific reason for the unexpected firing.
