Lawrence commuter report

The following construction projects and events may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

Kansas Highway 4 over Mission Creek, bridge closed for replacement.

Stubbs Road from U.S. Highway 40 to Southeast 29th Street, closed for bridge replacement.

East 300 Road from North 1825 Road to U.S. 40, closed for bridge replacement.

East 800 Road from County Road 438 to North 1750 Road, closed for bridge replacement over I-70.

Kansas Highway 92 from Kansas Highway 16 to Kansas Highway 7, closed to through traffic for bridge replacement. Detour posted.

K-92 bridge over Missouri River, traffic reduced to one lane controlled by signals from noon Fridays to 5 a.m. Mondays for bridge repair.

Projekt Revolution, 2:30 p.m. Tuesday; Deep Purple, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday; and Brooks & Dunn, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Interstate Highway 435 from 98th to 87th streets, reduced to two lanes in each direction during work-week rush hours but may be reduced to one lane each direction.

I-70 from the 18th Street Expressway to one mile east of Interstate Highway 635 and I-635 from Parallel Parkway to Metropolitan Avenue, traffic reduced to two lanes each direction and exits closed for construction. Detours posted.

Interstate 35 from Southwest Boulevard to Kansas-Missouri state line, southbound traffic reduced to two 11-foot lanes for road reconstruction.

Kansas City Royals vs. Texas Rangers, 1:10 p.m. today; Chiefs vs. St. Louis Rams, 7 p.m. Monday, Truman Sports Complex, Kansas City, Mo.

U.S. Highway 69 from I-35 and 91st Street, southbound traffic reduced to one lane for ramp reconstruction. Ramp from 87th Street to southbound U.S. 69 closed, and lane widths restricted to 11 feet.

I-435 from Quivira Road to Metcalf Avenue, traffic reduced to one lane each direction for concrete patching during evenings and weekends.

The following projects may affect city traffic this week:

U.S. Highway 40 (Sixth Street) from Kansas Highway 10 to Folks Road, traffic carried through construction as U.S. 40 is widened to four lanes.

Foxfire Drive from Bob Billings Parkway to Kingsmill Road, intermittent lane closures for concrete repair.

Wimbledon Drive east of Inverness Drive, Wimbledon Circle and Wimbledon Terrace, intermittent lane interruptions for milling and overlay.

Clinton Parkway from Wakarusa to Olympia drives, lane restrictions for curb repair.

Clinton Parkway eastbound from Crossgate to Kasold drives, lane restrictions for curb repair.

Clinton Parkway eastbound from Crestline Drive to Iowa Street, lane restrictions for curb repair.

14th Street at Jayhawk Boulevard, closed for steam tunnel installation.

11th Street from Tennessee to Massachusetts streets, parking restricted on the north side for water line installation.

12th Street from New Jersey to Delaware streets, intermittent lane closures for concrete repair.

Haskell Avenue from 11th to 13th streets, 12th Street at Haskell Avenue and the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Street, closed for stormwater improvements. Detours posted.

Elmwood Drive and Oakhill Avenue, intermittent lane interruptions for water line installation and concrete repair.

21st Street Terrace from Ousdahl Road to Naismith Drive, traffic reduced to one lane and parking removed for milling, overlay and curb repair.

24th Street from Arkansas to Alabama streets and the 2400 block of Arkansas Street, lane interruptions and parking removed for milling, overlay and curb repair.

Belle Crest Drive from 25th Street to Belle Haven Drive, intermittent lane closures for milling, overlay and curb repair.

17th Street from Massachusetts to New Hampshire streets and New Hampshire from 15th to 19th streets, closed to through traffic for intersection improvements.

Pawnee Avenue and Barker Avenue from 23rd Street to Pawnee Avenue, parking restricted for water line installation.

O’Connell Road from 27th to 31st streets, closed for street improvements.
