Short memories
To the editor:
After reading many letters in several newspapers, many of President Bush’s supporters seem to have short memories. The Republicans have the idea that the Vietnam War was a good idea. They complain about the people (U.S. citizens) who protested this unjust war for profit by the same companies that are making billions in Iraq.
We were defeated in Vietnam. The United States had to leave with its tail between its legs. If it was not for John Kerry and many other war protesters, we would probably still be wasting billions of tax dollars and sacrificing our young men. Stop the dull-thinking Republicans, Bush and his people are doing nothing more than feeding tax dollars to the military industrial complex so they can donate our money to his re-election bid.
