The last day of the River City Baseball Festival was a wash, with Hoglund Ballpark, Ice Field and the Free State field too wet to play.

Among the games that were canceled were Free State’s showdown against Eureka, Mo., and Lawrence High’s game against Kansas City (Mo.) Winnetonka.

The games will not be made up. Instead, LHS and FSHS will try to schedule makeup games to fill their 20-game regular-season schedules.

Both city teams return to Sunflower League action Tuesday. Free State will play Shawnee Mission West, while LHS will travel to Olathe South.
