Cheney’s due

To the editor:

Vice President Dick Cheney’s rationale in 2002 for more tax cuts was very simple. “We won the midterms. This is our due,” explained Cheney. In 2003, Cheney’s “due” turned out to be more than a 25 percent reduction in personal income taxes. On a personal income of $1.3 million, this resulted in a tax savings of more than $88,000.
