Healthy strategy
To the editor:
More and more people are turning to the Atkins diet to lose weight every day. The nation wonders, with all these diets out there, why is half of the nation still overweight?
The Atkins diet is a good way to lose weight, but is it healthy? Why would a diet that excludes an entire food group be healthy? Why are people in Europe, who eat everything “we’re not supposed to,” still more healthy and not as overweight in comparison to Americans?
The answer is pretty simple: Americans are lazy.
We’re following too many fad diets and not enough designed for each individual. If you want to lose weight and be healthy — turn off the TV, see your doctor, eat right and exercise.
