Books on the bus?
To the editor:
It has come to our attention that the public library is looking to expand. Perhaps if we were to reintroduce the bookmobile, it would provide the extra space that the library is looking for. And since no one else seems to be interested in riding on the T buses, perhaps we could employ them for this project.
Now, we realize that some would argue that this form of public transportation is of great value to the preservation of the environment. These would be the same people who lobbied for the buses in the first place, but we haven’t seen many of them actually on the bus. Perhaps where the tree huggers fell short, Huckleberry Finn and Jane Eyre will be able to pick up the slack.
If not books on the T buses, how about at least a smoking section?
