Wal-Mart spread

To the editor:

Regarding Mr. Chappelle’s defense of his employer Wal-Mart:

Yeah, right. Wal-Mart is at its zenith, but this is not the only way to buy merchandise and for sure does not provide the best quality or value. It’s just big business, big capitalism.

Now Wal-Mart is spreading out over Eastern Europe like an American parasite gobbling up currency just recently given to millions of new “free citizens.”

Wal-Mart is a huge corporate business. It has risen not like the old Woolworth’s from the last century but out of the benefits of corporate welfare taxation policies that have been “enhanced” by all of our government since 1980, much to the detriment of small businesses nationwide.

Buy locally and shop for quality, not price.
