Gasoline taxes

To the editor:

Let’s see. My president reports that a senator wanted to raise TAXES on gasoline. The people would suffer extra costs (and the government would have more money to spend).

But I am not clear that the recent price increases are caused by taxes. Who will profit?

We recognize that the president and vice president have been involved with the oil industry. Here’s the opportunity for them to really make a difference for the people.
