Here’s a look at a few of Lawrence’s most popular annual arts events:

  • The Lawrence Indian Arts Show: The 15th annual juried exhibition of American Indian artworks from across the United States opened Sept. 12 and is on view at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H., through Oct. 11. For more information, call 843-6830.
  • Lawrence ArtWalk: The ninth annual self-guided tour of Douglas County galleries and artists’ studios is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 25 and noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 26. For more information, call 865-4254.
  • Downtown Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition: This year’s juried exhibition features eight sculptures from local and/or national artists scattered throughout downtown Lawrence. They’ll remain on display through the spring, when a new batch of sculptures will be selected and installed. For more information about the exhibition, call 832-3400.
