Lawrence commuter report

The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

Interstate 70 from the Shawnee/Wabaunsee County line to Valencia Road interchange, traffic restricted and eastbound Exit 347 ramp closed for road reconstruction.

Kansas Highway 10 from Evening Star Road to Cedar Creek Parkway, westbound traffic reduced to one lane; K-10 from Lexington Avenue to Cedar Creek Parkway, eastbound traffic reduced to one lane for bridge repair.

Aerosmith and KISS, 7 p.m. Wednesday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

I-70 at Interstate 635, traffic placed on existing westbound lanes for road reconstruction. I-635 between Metropolitan Avenue and Parallel Parkway, traffic placed on existing southbound lanes for road reconstruction. Several associated ramps closed.

Interstate 35 from I-635/U.S. Highway 69 interchange to Lamar Avenue, traffic reduced to one lane between 8 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday for sealing, patching and striping.

Interstate 435 from I-35 to Quivira Road, reduced to one lane between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for patching and striping.

Kansas City Royals vs. Detroit Tigers, 7:05 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; vs. Chicago White Sox, 7:05 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

Sixth Street at Comet Lane, westbound traffic reduced to one lane for intersection improvements.

Sixth Street at Kasold Drive, reduced to one lane each direction for intersection improvements.

Frontier Road from Mesa Way to Sixth Street, closed to through traffic for intersection improvements.

Sixth Street at Lawrence Avenue, traffic interruptions for intersection improvements.

Steven Drive from Lawrence Avenue to Wellington Road, traffic interruptions for milling and overlay.

Ninth Street from Rockledge Road to Iowa Street and Rockledge Road from Ninth Street to Yale Road, traffic interruptions for milling and overlay.

Emerald Drive, 19th Terrace to 21st Street, traffic interruptions for milling and overlay.

Ohio Street, north of Dakota Street, restricted for line installation.
