To the editor:

I am no “Dixie Chick,” therefore, I have nothing to lose by stating my opinion. I urge all of you to stand up and be counted. President Bush is out of control and needs to be stopped ASAP. The last straw for me is the Bush administration signing a law that the poor and uninsured may be turned away at hospital emergency rooms nationwide. Lawrence Memorial Hospital may say it will not comply with this now, but what happens when LMH gets a new administrator in the future?

I will not retract any statements I express for the shame our president has brought upon our once great nation. President Bush represents ONLY the wealthy! Please wake up and smell the tainted coffee.

Hey, Bush, your father coined the phrase “a kinder, gentler nation” or something to that effect. In three years, you have converted us into an “uncaring, poor-bashing nation.” In that same three years, you have taken us from a financial surplus to a record national deficit.

America, I have one possible solution. First let’s run Bush out of office — hopefully by sundown. Second, maybe in the future, instead of one chief (president) we should have three presidents. One for domestic issues (for which you have failed miserably), one for foreign issues (in which your “bring ’em on” statement has killed more of our beloved soldiers than the war itself), and one to handle our national budget (yup, I reckon you messed that up too). ‘Nuff said.
