Future fans
To the editor:
Allowing Free State High School to use Memorial Stadium is a great way for the KU athletic department to build a loyal fan base for the future. A large number of Free State students will be attending KU in just a few years. If these kids and their families have participated in and enjoyed high school games at Memorial Stadium, it is likely that they will want to continue to do so. This is not only smart resource sharing, it creates a sense of loyalty and community spirit that could really benefit KU’s football attendance in the future.
