Free State High forward Joel Angelone and defender Sam Buhler have been named to the first team of the All-Sunflower League soccer team.

Buhler, a junior, was the defensive leader for the 6-9-2 Firebirds. Angelone, a senior, notched 18 goals and four assists this season and will graduate as the Firebirds’ all-time leading scorer.

Free State senior Scott Schumaker was a second-team honoree at midfield. Receiving honorable mention all-league honors were Free State’s Aaron Ideus and Brian Ozorkiewicz and Lawrence High’s Sean Hargis, Jake Brewer and Bruno Simoes.
