Sensible stand

To the editor:

The Oct. 23 Lawrence Journal-World had an article on Wesley Clark’s budget plan. This is the second of four domestic policy statements that Gen. Clark is coming out with at the beginning of his campaign for the presidency. It’s impressive to see the thought that Gen. Clark has given to coming up with solutions to the problems brought to us by the Bush administration.

Gen. Clark’s statements make eminent sense. It would be nice to have an intelligent and capable leader who is truly interested in working for the welfare of the country as a whole instead of the wealthy few. I hope all voters are paying attention this time around. As Gen. Clark points out, we don’t need any more of George W. Bush’s baloney.
