Law enforcement report

  • Police arrested a 35-year-old Lawrence woman on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol after the car she was driving struck six parked cars early Friday in the 1000 block of Tennessee Street, according to a police report. The series of collisions happened about 12:25 a.m. Police arrested Jolene D. Ami in the 1100 block of Tennessee Street and cited her for inattentive driving, not having proof of insurance and driving with a suspended license, according to the report.
  • Police are investigating a reported case of bigamy. A 26-year-old Lawrence woman told police last week she recently learned that a man she married Oct. 21, 2002, in Douglas County is married to another woman. The suspect in the case is a 43-year-old man who lives out of state, but police would not release more details about the circumstances.
  • Police seized crack cocaine in four separate incidents between May 14 and June 6, according to a police report. All the seizures were part of a drug-dealing investigation of one suspect, a woman in her 30s, said Sgt. Mike Pattrick, a police spokesman. The seizures happened in the 2500 block of Iowa Street, the 900 block of Ward Avenue and in the city at large, according to the report. Paperwork for the investigation wasn’t made public until earlier this month.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of two Yamaha dirt bikes from a storage shed in the 1400 section of East 900 Road. The owner, a 46-year-old Lawrence man, reported the bikes stolen sometime between Sept. 16 and Oct. 4. The bikes are valued at $11,000.
