Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was killed in an industrial accident Thursday afternoon in western Lawrence.

Lawrence/Douglas County Deputy Fire Chief Mark Bradford confirmed that a man was killed after being run over by a large construction vehicle.

The accident occurred in the 1200 block of Biltmore, just west of Wakarusa Drive.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified. Police do not suspect foul play. A next of kin has been notified and the investigation is underway.
