Brutal attacks

To the editor:
As someone who strongly supports the goal of peace between Israelis and Palestinians, I was very disappointed to read Melanie R. Schnebelen's letter in the Nov. 24 Journal-World in which she appeared to defend Palestinian suicide attacks on Israeli civilians.
The plain fact is that brutal terror attacks on civilians are never justified, whether done by Palestinians or anyone else. Blowing up teenagers in a pizzeria or worshippers at a Passover service is not "fighting back"; it is butchery.
The Palestinians have legitimate complaints against Israel that must be addressed, and vice-versa. The proper place to address these complaints is at the negotiating table, not by attacking civilians on the opposite side.
