Raw deal
To the editor:
First, we did not feed them, then we did not give them water, some did not get weapons and now we are not paying them. Who are they? Our defenders of freedom, our neighbors and friends.
National Guard and reservists who serve on active duty take significant pay reductions once they go on active duty. When, and if, they come home, many are faced with discrimination on their jobs. President Bush went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard, but “made up the time.” If I had gone AWOL, I would be writing this from Leavenworth.
