Police release video tape of Nebraska tire puncturing
The following video clip, which shows a shadowy figure walking around vehicles belonging to Nebraska football fans at the Quality Inn in Lawrence, was supplied by the Lawrence Police Department.
Police are continuing their investigation into numerous tire vandalisms last Friday night and early Saturday morning prior to the Kansas University’s football game with Nebraska. Several vehicles received tire damage by a sharp instrument puncture in the side walls. The vandalisms were reported at area motel parking lots with many of the victim vehicles displaying Nebraska vehicle registrations.
Officers investigating the damages have secured a surveillance tape from the Quality Inn, 801 Iowa St. Suspect images are seen on the tape, police say. Enhancement efforts with the video tape were performed Thursday without new results.
Anyone with information about the vandalisms are encouraged to call police at (785) 830-7430 or the CrimeStoppers Tip’s Hotline at (785) 843-TIPS.
